Accessible outdoor fitness for our seniors
The City of Danville wanted to purchase specialized modules and exercise stations for seniors. We have designed and proposed an urban training area adapted for this type of clientele. It is therefore at the park near the Town Hall of Danville and Pond Burbank that we find our first exercisers for seniors!
This innovative active area consists of our pyramid with support ramps, a balance beam with a support ramp, a multifunction bench and a set of descriptive panels to guide users. A footpath and clearance zones (absorbent surfaces) will be installed by spring 2018!
Encouraging seniors to move is our priority!
Creating an urban training course is one thing, knowing how to make it useful is another! We have used our expertise to design an inviting active area with a contemporary design and look while playing with a color scheme that is both attractive and easy merging with the environment. Our set of descriptive panels has been developed and approved by kinesiologists to provide varied and tailored exercises focused on building muscle and motor skills of our seniors. For the more connected of us, a free mobile application is available to enhance the experience of the users.
Each exercise station has ergonomic supports, including support ramps, to ensure a safe workout area. In addition, the modules are static and multifunctional, thus promoting the creativity of the user through an impressive exercise possibility.
